This modern one-story building over a raised basement replaced the W. W. Cameron House at this location and a Carnegie Library. The planar walls of marble and glass are a distinct contrast to the older buildings in the downtown area and adjacent residential streets. The Carnegie Library cornerstone is incorporated into the rear of the building. Door handles to the library are striking and colorful while the interior retains much of its Charles and Ray Eames–designed and Herman Miller–manufactured furniture.
