Lakeshore Drive Houses

-A A +A
c. 1955. 3209–3215 Lakeshore Dr.

These three modern residences show extraordinary style and finesse in their composition of enticing facades and vehicular access from Lakeshore Drive while turning their principal facades to face Lake Waco. Completed in shades of red brick with bands of windows and incorporated carports, the houses are the work of experienced and bold but undocumented architects of the 1950s. The houses' condition, lack of significant alterations, and placement make them worthy of attention.
