Modest stone and wood-frame buildings, as well as a few water towers, remain from Goodsprings' early twentieth-century mining days. When the mines closed, the town managed to survive, though most of its downtown buildings are gone, and abandoned structures can be seen throughout the town. Today Goodsprings' location, about eight miles west of I-15 and the casinos of Jean, makes it a convenient place for casino workers' housing, though most commute from Las Vegas.
