A few miles south of the road to Circle is an area of natural hot springs, which had long been used by miners, and before them, Natives. The area was not developed into a formal resort until 1930, when Frank and Emma Leach built the two-and-a-half-story hotel. The gable-roofed building, with a three-and-a-half-story cross gable at one end, has gable dormers. The pool is adjacent, as are a number of log cabins, some dating from before construction of the hotel. Recent additions include ATCO trailers—prefabricated four-room trailers used during pipeline construction—covered with logs and serving as motel rooms.
