Lafayette Boarding House

-A A +A
1900. 600 E. Simpson St. (southeast corner of Finch St.) (NR)

Of several boarding houses in town, this two-story frame box with narrow clapboard siding, simple trim, and a wide shed porch is the most prominent and least altered. Miners found furnished rooms and meals here for $6 a week. Accommodations included the old washhouse, which is still out back.
