This two-story rectangular station building of stucco over frame is the largest of three built by the Costilla Estates Development Company. The railroad, which hauled live-stock, crops, and locally mined minerals, provided daily freight and passenger service until 1946, then wheezed on with an intermittent schedule until 1959. The depot has a shingled hipped roof with overhanging eaves and exposed rafter ends. The roof shape is repeated in three hipped canopies, supported by large, flanking brackets, over the main entry. Trackside, a full-height rectangular bay gave sight lines along the right of way. With several small additions, the depot was converted to a bed and breakfast in 1993.
