Crowley County Courthouse

-A A +A
1915, J. M. Gile. Northeast corner of 6th and Main sts.

Posing as a large dwelling, this four-square courthouse has conventional Georgian Revival detailing, a concrete foundation, a glazed brick base, buff brick walls, and a wide, sturdy porch to give it a domestic appeal. Horizontal banding at the corners gives the effect of quoins. A much larger rear addition is one of the clues that this is more than a large house.
