Delta Public Library

-A A +A
1911, G. R. Femlee. 1984, addition, Dana Larson, Roubal and Associates. 536 Palmer St.

This mint-condition period piece is complete with large portraits of Andrew Carnegie and George Washington. An old-fashioned locked bookcase guards suspect literature. The Delta Brick and Tile Company provided the beige brick and tile for this miniature version of the standard Carnegie neo-Greek temple. Sharing the one-block site are an old, hand-hewn log jail (1894, W. R. Gale, builder) and the courthouse.
