After Pei designed the Mile High Center and the Zeckendorf Plaza, his firm was asked to design this granite-paved pedestrian mall to revive downtown's main retail street. Sleek street furniture, fountains, and trees make the spaces people-friendly. The mile-long pedestrian mall connects Civic Center with Lower Downtown.
