This magnificent bank of grain elevators was operated by ADM Milling Company. The facility was built to mill wheat and was converted in the 1970s to produce industrial starch. It is the most monumental presence in Plainview. In 1910, gasoline-powered wells had fueled large-scale crop irrigation, as well as extensive land speculation.
