Kohn-Dobbins-Dominick House

-A A +A
1925, Jacques Benedict. 770 High St.

This Beaux-Arts palazzo was commissioned by the founding president of the American Furniture Company. Landscaping by Saco R. DeBoer remains in evidence behind tall fencing and shrubbery. Architect Peter Dominick, Jr., has preserved the mansion as his family home. Other nearby Beaux-Arts Renaissance Revival palaces designed by Jacques Benedict are the Sullivan House (1926), 801 Race, and the Neusteter-Bailey-Chenoweth House (1921), 817 Race.
