This Renaissance Revival structure with Spanish and Mission influences is clad in St. Louis–made pressed brick in a buff color. It rises four stories to hipped roofs with overhanging eaves. The principal facade of the H-shaped building has protruding bays on each side with an arcade spanning the opening. Two fenestrated arches in each bay carry the rhythm across the entire facade. Twin square open towers are the most prominent elements. The hotel resembles Thomas MacLaren's later Cragmor Sanatarium ( EP45), supporting speculation that he was at least consulted on its design. It is now William I. Spencer Center of The Colorado College.
