The recessed triple-arched entrance is the dominant feature of this single-story, Flemish bond brick structure. The arcade may be a reference to the courthouse. The building initially served as a community church. Hence it has no central aisle and originally had no chancel. The chancel was added c. 1876 and then replaced c. 1929 as the church became more “ecclesiological.” An interior rear gallery was also removed, and painted glass windows (c. 1920) were installed. The graveyard contains a large Beaux-Arts monument to Congressman William Atkinson Jones (1926, Don Mariano Benlliure, sculptor), given by the people of the Philippines, for whose independence he had been a fervent advocate.
