Hanson's Castle (7X Ranch)
Neo-Romanesque and Queen Anne elements dress up this ranch house of rough-faced local gray sandstone with red sandstone trim. The round tower with conical roof, second-story balcony, arched windows with voussoirs of contrasting stone, and roof-top balustrade gained this two-story square house local fame as a “castle.” Now a private Hereford cattle ranch, the site includes an old two-story bunk-house.
