Reflecting the shift from Queen Anne and Richardsonian exuberance to more cautious, classical styles after the silver crash of 1893, this two-and-one-half-story red brick domicile is predictable in its boxy shape and classical detail. The dignified interior, with its original hardwood trim, has been home since 1936 to the Unity Temple, whose minister welcomes visitors of all persuasions, even architecture enthusiasts.
