This L-shaped light brick box of classical proportions is stripped of ornament but hints at Art Deco inspiration. Recessed rectangular windows are outlined by stepped brick courses, and the concrete face around the front door is fluted and extends to include two adjacent windows. A cast panel of zigzag pattern tops the door.
Inside, the original tile floor, tile wain-scot, and fluted ceiling molding are intact, as is a 1937 WPA mural in vivid pastel shades, Antelope Grazing, by Olive Rush, who also painted murals for the La Fonda Hotel and the Public Library in Santa Fe, New Mexico; the State College of New Mexico; and the post office in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
