Fox Theater

-A A +A
1920s. 23 S. Cascade Ave.
  • (Carol M. Highsmith Archive, Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division)

An onion dome and parody of a minaret top this two-story masonry box, now devoid of any further decoration to carry the theme. Recently divided into three screening rooms inside, it has also been altered in back, where the much rearranged masonry of the alley walls looks like a remodeler's jigsaw puzzle.
