Given Institute for Pathobiology

-A A +A
1973, Harry Weese and Associates. 100 E. Francis St. (northeast corner of Garmisch St.)

The Paepckes donated this site for the University of Colorado's medical institute. The concrete-block building, one of Aspen's finest Modernist works, gives a playful rigor to a simple circle with angular extensions. Harry Weese, a distinguished Chicago Modernist, also designed the Lavatelli House at Snowmass and the Baird House in Aspen.
