Auto Showroom (now a retail store)
A well-proportioned single-floor brick commercial building has been enlivened by small cartouches of winged automobile tires placed above each of its piers. The decorative device of half of a tire and wheel has, in the fashion of the Art Deco, been effectively integrated with the surrounding wings and with the flat capital of the piers below. This is all very subtle programmatic architecture, but effective.
