Schumacher House and Pharmacy (The Castle)

-A A +A
The Castle
1905. 222 E. Bryant in Walcott

The small town of Walcott is situated 6 miles west of Davenport on US 6. Once in town, prepare yourself for a medieval scene, for the Schumacher building is indeed a castle. Across an open lawn is a medieval fortress with cornice turret towers, towers, and corbeled parapets. If you go closer you will find that all of this has been realized in pressed sheet metal.
