The Villa Raphael was originally built as a mother house of the Sisters of Presentation. While this four-story brick building with octagonal bay towers at the ends hints at the Romanesque, its character is established by the two-story entrance porch in the Doric order. An unsympathetic addition (at least it is sheathed in brick) has been built to the right of the older complex.
