Saint Peter's German United Evangelical Lutheran Church (Pioneer Rock Church)
Saint Peter's is the very picture of a mid-century Greek Revival church, romantically situated in wooded open country. The walls rising two stories are of rough limestone; the two-tier tower and steeple are of wood. The church is classically severe, with a single door with lunettes at the ground level, a pair of windows above, and finally a small lunette window in the gable. The church is currently maintained by the nearby Garnavillo Historical Society and is open to the public.
