Fox House

-A A +A
1863. 402 W. 2nd St.

The brick Italianate house on a corner lot still dominates this section of the street, though it has been considerably remodeled over the years. The present entrance porch is only a fragment of one that encompassed the entire front and then wrapped around to the side of the house. Also now missing is the bracketed central belvedere on the roof; inside the house there was a grand circular front staircase, now gone.
