Duplex

-A A +A
c. 1910, attrib. Mortimer B. Cleveland. 624–626 W. Park Ave.

The complex composition of the central roof dormer of this double house strongly suggests Cleveland's hand. Almost as assertive as the central roof dormer—and equally successful—are the rough stone piers of the enclosed porches. The two-story brick-clad volume with widely projecting eaves of a hipped roof conjures the Midwest Prairie image.
