Overstreet created a simple, economical residence for modern living for the Mississippi Title Insurance Company executive. Here, the long flat span of the carport and breezeway, supported on slender metal supports, achieves inexpensively the impression of weightlessness. The binuclear plan is evident, with a tall living room and its window wall balancing the lower and longer private wing where high ribbon windows make the flat roof seem to float. Connecting the two is a fully glazed entrance hall that allows views from front to back.
