Blessing School (Blessing High School)
The one-story Blessing School is rotated on the diagonal toward the intersection of TX 35 and FM 616. The parapet of the advanced center bay is ornamented with cast-stone escutcheons and pinnacles and the inset front entrance is framed by a scalloped Spanish Baroque–style cast-stone portal. These minimal decorative elements give the otherwise straightforward school building, faced with a mixed blend of red, yellow, and buff brick, the presence it needs to function as a civic landmark at a highway intersection in the country.
