This four-story, red brick former hotel has a distinctive canopy at cornice level that duplicates the canopy over the sidewalk. Built near Union Station during the oil boom, this is the last remaining tall, load-bearing masonry structure in Wichita Falls. It was rehabilitated in 2000 as fifteen loft-style apartments and retail space.
Nearby at 504 7th, the former Fort Worth and Denver City Railway Office and Freight Terminal of 1921 is a buff brick building of two stories over a raised basement. The railway was the first to reach Wichita Falls, arriving in 1882.
