House (Marion Male Academy)
Located a few buildings west of the former Marion Female College (SM8), this building also represents early education in Marion. Built as a school for boys, it was converted into a house after the school closed in 1893. The two-story brick building with a gabled entrance pavilion has a stylish porch with turned posts and balusters. A delicate cast-iron fence extends the width of the large front garden.
