Great Road

It was on this road near what is now Saylesville that Thomas Arnold, a Quaker, settled in the 1680s to establish one of the founding families of Lincoln. They called their substantial holding “World's End.” Not surprisingly, Great Road is notable for a number of historic structures along its course.
