Police Department Building

-A A +A
1937–1938. 310 2nd Ave. S.W.

This is a PWA building, both in its funding and in style. The structure is two stories high, sheathed in light tan brick, with sandstone trim. A centrally placed entrance wing projects slightly from the building. The entry doors are deeply set within pilasters; above, the wall surface is filled with glass brick. In plan, the center of this H-shaped building contains a drive-through garage with storage to the rear for cars and motorcycles.
