The rural character of Bucks County continued into the nineteenth century when this tiny stuccoed chapel was erected. The flamboyant Stick Style entrance vestibule and projecting belfry are additions by Thomas Cernea from Doylestown. This was the family church of anthropologist Margaret Mead, who was baptized and married in the church and is buried in the graveyard.
