Danville's grandest Greek Revival building was funded by manufacturer and philanthropist Thomas Beaver, a member of the parish. Constructed of common bond brick, the church has a monumental pedimented portico with six fluted Doric columns, an articulated frieze, and a tiered cupola that serves as both belfry and clock tower.
