“Paneled” is the word for this example of the Greek Revival, a style rare in the Point. two-story paneled pilasters make panels of the flushboarded front elevation for the door and windows, which are themselves framed and capped in paneled elements. The triangular window in the pediment reinforces the carpenter's idée fixe. Although pilastered fronts of this sort are standard for Greek Revival houses, the type is exceptional in Rhode Island. The house was built for the owner of a thriving shipyard on Washington Street.
