Among the stylish late-nineteenth-century houses in this block is this fine wooden church. It features a projecting square front entrance tower with tall wooden buttresses, a bracketed wooden cornice, and wooden pinnacles at the corners. A round-arched front entrance and round-arched windows and louvered tower vents with label molds add a Romanesque flavor to the church's otherwise Gothic character.
