This neighborhood on the fringes of downtown was developed on property that originally belonged to the Point of Honor estate (BD53). Its development followed much the same patterns as the others: an initial period of antebellum growth, followed by a second wind late in the nineteenth century. Although a number of houses attesting to prosperity during both eras remain along Cabell Street—the “main street” of Daniel's Hill—only a few are now in good condition.
