Bailey

-A A +A

William L. Bailey, who settled here in 1864, founded a remote ranch that has become Bailey (1878, 7,750 feet), a town of several hundred residents. Timber resources attracted settlers and the DSP&P, which arrived in 1878, and sawmills and lumberyards proliferated. Today Bailey is a small-town hub for many summer homes and resorts.
