Lyon Drug Store (Maxwell Building)

Maxwell Building
1908, Elmer Baer, builder. 840 Lincoln Ave. (northeast corner of 9th St.)

J. P. Maxwell, one of the founders of the Steamboat Springs Town Company, and Elmer Baer, a local contractor, put up this two-story red brick commercial building. Baer used local sandstone for stringcourses, a parapet cap, and Lincoln Avenue's most notable cornice and pediment.
