In 1887, the Natchez, Jackson, and Columbus Railroad (called “The Little J”) completed its line, and this two-story unpainted board-and-batten depot was finished soon thereafter. It showcases wood in decorative ways. The two-story passenger section features a single-beaded board wainscot and alternating wide and narrow board and batten, dividing the facade into four segments vertically. A one-story freight shed is attached at the rear. The depot saw its last passengers in 1945 and has had a variety of occupants since.
