McIlwaine House

-A A +A
c. 1816. 425 Cockade Alley

This two-story frame house with a one-story wing was moved to its present site from S. Market Street in 1973. The restrained late Federal exterior with its single-story porch and twin chimneys gives little hint of its delicate and elaborate interior decoration that is characteristic of Petersburg's finest Federal houses.
