McMechan House

-A A +A
1853. 107–109 North Main St.

This three-story, six-bay brick town house represents Moorefield's antebellum architecture at its most urbane. Inside, campaign posters from the 1856 presidential election still decorate a third-floor bedroom and show that the McMechans favored Buchanan for president and John C. Breckinridge for vice president.
