Gothic Revival House

-A A +A
c. 1875. 304 Winchester Ave. (north side of Winchester Ave., opposite the intersection with South Fork Rd.)
  • Gothic Revival House (Nancy Powell)

This two-story, three-bay, frame Gothic Revival cottage is a late but delightful representative of its type. Three gabled wall dormers are full of scroll-sawn trim, but the cynosure is the front porch, with its particularly gutsy ornamentation. The house is painted in appropriate Victorian-era colors, adding to its charm.
