Brewery Square: Holz and Geiger Brewery Building, Economy Advertising Building

The exteriors of these two commercial buildings were restored by the firm of KNV Architects in 1987 to serve as a location for restaurants, shops, and offices. The corner structure, that of the Holz and Geiger Brewery, is a brick Italianate building, with round-arched windows, a bracketed hipped roof, and at one time a small cupola. The 1920s Economy Advertising Building is a straight-forward two-story brick building with horizontal factory sash windows. Its only ornamentation is its name in cast stone, surrounded by a raised brick frame set within a raised portion of the parapet.
