Like other federal post offices in Nevada's small towns, the one in Fallon lends a refined character to downtown, owing to its simple Classical Revival style, which was favored by James A. Wetmore, then the Supervising Architect of the Treasury. The steel-frame building stands two stories tall with brick-clad walls. The main facade is symmetrical, with a slightly recessed central section containing the main entrance and two large flanking windows—all set into arched openings with keystones and semicircular filled panels above. A denticulated cornice caps the building.
